19 Reasons To Be Deeply Concerned About The Global Economy

by Tyler Durden

Is the global economic downturn going to accelerate as we roll into the second half of this year?  There is turmoil in the Middle East, we are seeing things happen in the bond markets that we have not seen happen in more than 30 years, and  much of Europe has already plunged into a full-blown economic  depression.  Sadly, most Americans will never understand what is  happening until financial disaster strikes them personally.  As long as  they can go to work during the day and eat frozen pizza and watch  reality television at night, most of them will consider everything to be just fine.

Unfortunately, the truth is that everything is not fine.  The world is becoming increasingly unstable, we are living in the  terminal phase of the greatest debt bubble in the history of the planet  and the global financial system is even more vulnerable than it was back in 2008.  Unfortunately, most people seem to only have a 48 hour  attention span at best these days.  They don’t have the patience to  watch long-term trends develop.  And the coming economic collapse is not going to happen all at once.  Rather, it is like watching a very, very  slow-motion train wreck happen.

The coming economic nightmare is going to unfold over a number of  years.  Yes, there will be moments of great panic, but mostly it will be a steady decline into economic oblivion.  And there are a lot of indications that the second half of this year is not going to be as good as the first half was.

The following are 19 reasons to be deeply concerned about the global economy as we head into the second half of 2013…

#1 The velocity of money in the United States has plunged to an all-time  low.  It is extremely difficult to have an “economic recovery” if banks  are not lending money and people are not spending it…

Syrian refugee crisis hits new high as 11,000 flee in single day

More than 11,000 refugees fled Syria on Friday, in what is thought to be the highest daily exodus since the insurrection began 19 months ago.

At least 9,000 of those fleeing the unrelenting violence in Syria headed for Turkey and Jordan, who are both warning that refugee numbers could soon overwhelm them.

The first large winter storm of the season made the journey miserable for the new arrivals in Turkey. Torrential rain along much of the eastern Mediterranean coast is not forecast to let up throughout the weekend, after which temperatures are expected to sharply chill.

The onset of winter poses a new and dangerous dimension to the looming humanitarian crisis on Syria’s borders. Many of the 400,000……………………………………

Putin’s Geopolitical Chess Game with Washington in Syria and Eurasia

Since reassuming his post as Russia’s   President, Vladimir Putin has lost no minute in addressing the most urgent   geopolitical threats to Russia internationally. Not surprisingly, at the center   of his agenda is the explosive situation in the Middle East, above all Syria.   Here Putin is engaging every imaginable means of preventing a further   deterioration of the situation into what easily could become another “world war   by miscalculation.” His activities in recent weeks involve active personal   diplomacy with Syria’s government as well as the so-called opposition “Syrian   National Council.”  It involves intense   diplomacy with Erdogan’s Turkey regime. It involves closed door diplomacy with   Obama. It involves direct diplomacy with Israel’s Benjamin   Netanyahu

Syria itself, contrary to what most western   media portray, is a long-standing multi-ethnic and religiously tolerant secular   state with an Alawite Muslim President Bashar Al-Assad, married to a Sunni wife.   The Alawite sect is an offshoot of Shia Islam which doesn’t force their women to   wear head scarves and are liberal by Sunni standards, especially in the   fundamentalist places like Saudi Arabia where women are forbidden to even hold a   driver’s license. The overall Syrian population is a diverse mix of Alawites,   Druze and Kurds, Sunnis, and Armenian Orthodox Christians. Were the minority   regime of Al-Assad to fall, experts estimate that, like in Egypt, the murky   Sunni (as in Saudi Arabia) Muslim Brotherhood organization would emerge as the   dominant organized political force, something certainly not welcome in Tel Aviv   and certainly not in either Russia or China.

‘All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing’

As we in the west are about to celebrate Christmas the people of Syria are facing another Christmas at the hands of murderers .Children are been shot dead and people are been rounded up just because they aspire to have the same basic freedoms we take for granted . I have called our political leaders leaches, gangsters and traitors and I can expect to go about my daily life without fear of been murdered, but in Syria that is another thing. Please support the people of Syria in their heroic effort in obtaining their democratic freedom. The people of the world are watching you and support you in your struggle against the repressive regime in Damascus.

I call on the Government of Ireland to be the the first to openly send support to the free Syrian Army .

‘All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing’

Right To Work on Sept 14th at the Dail! 5:30pm – 7:30pm

The Dáil will return from its eight-week summer break this
afternoon for what is expected to be a busy autumn session. The Dáil and Seanad
will have plenty of other legislation to process. The Government is committed
under the terms of the deal with the IMF and EU to introduce a number of
substantial pieces of legislation. The Budget will be introduced at the start
of December and you can bet the poor and the unemployed will be hit hard while
these pampered lads and lasses will sit in the Dail and spout off with their obnoxious
platitudes as they pass even more severe austerity measures .If you really want
to have a say then come down and face these public leaches and give them some
of your mind

Machholz will be there will you???

Joan Burton – Could you live on €188 a week?
Dole is not a ‘Lifestyle choice’
The government is planning to cut spending on social welfare. It is taking orders from the IMF-EU and wants to make us suffer. The unemployed are being sacrificed to pay off the international bankers.
Joan Burton’s has claimed that unemployment is a ‘lifestyle choice’.
But this is a real insult to those who are looking for work. Very few of us have cho…sen to live on €188 euro a week. And the last thing we need is another Maggie Thatcher who is trying to turn us into scapegoats.
The real spongers in this country are not to be found on the dole queues. We should instead be looking at bankers who have walked away with pensions of over €600,000 a year – after making a mess of the country.
The Minister for ‘Social Protection’ Joan Burton has just announced a cut to fuel and household allowances. Struggling households of the elderly, carers, loan parents and the unemployed will be hard hit with this attack.
Joan Burton has also stated that if we refuse to accept places on schemes we will have our dole cut by 44 euro a week!
The number of free units of electricity available per year will also be reduced from 2,400 to 1,800. On top of this the smokeless fuel allowance to 150,000 people living in major cities such as Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Tralee will be abolished.
Blaming the unemployed for unemployment won’t create a single job and is a smokescreen to disguise what’s really going on: Unemployment is caused by the greed of the rich. Investment has dropped by 70% in the last two years. This has happened because people who made a fortune during the boom years are sitting on their cash and waiting for wages and welfare to drop.
This is the source of unemployment and no amount of punishment of the poor will rectify the situation.
Burton’s attacks on the unemployment shows that she wants to cut social welfare again in the next budget. The only way to stop her is to organise and get on the streets in big protests.
Across the Middle East, and in Greece and Spain, people are rising up and demanding their say in how society should be run. We need to do the same in Ireland.
On September 14th, the Dail is opening after a long summer break. We, the unemployed should get out in their in our thousands to say:
• No More Cuts
• We want a public works schemes to give us jobs.
Join us in trying to bring the spirit of revolt to Ireland!

Arab League out of touch with the oppressed people of Syria!

“Wake Up”  “Wake Up”
people are dying ,people are been murdered what are you going to do about it
write to you TD now !

To Eamon Gilmore TD                  11.09.2011

Leader of the
Labour Party, Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs & Trade.

Dear Mr. Gilmore,

You are no doubt aware of the serious murderous situation in Syria where ordinary people are faced each and every day with the prospect of been murdered by their own
security forces who have now reached the debts of outright slaughter of any opposition
to the current regime .As a person who has spent a lifetime in and out of
opposition surely you must feel for the rightful aspirations of the people of Syria
to engage in free parliamentary activity and there right to democracy .I call
on you now to demonstrate to the world the absolute rejection of the brutal and
murderous activities for the current Government of  Syria .

Our own history is dotted with people who died in the struggle for our freedom, in their memory, and of our tradition of shearing and caring I call on you now to proclaim to
the world that we the people of Ireland do not support the current Syrian Government
and further more you must immediately call on the United Nation to take
whatever action is necessary to protect  the innocent people of Syria from these
Monsters and to demand that the current leadership of Syria will be brought to
the international court of justice on crimes of murder and human rights abuse.

You are in a position to make your voice heard and you can justly clam to be to voice of the
Irish people in the corridors of power where this murder of the innocence can be stopped.

Your inaction will directly cause lives to be lost so do the right thing and start shouting stop

But let the world hear you!

Is mise,

Thomas O Cleirigh/Wicklow Town

There is something very wrong with the leadership of the Arab League, How can they even consider the possibility of keeping the current murderous Assad and his henchmen in power? The Arab League is becoming irrelevant in the mass public movement now gathering pace in the Middle East. The ordinary peoples of this region are now becoming aware of their civil liberties and their Human rights and they do not need these rights to be dispensed to them by unelected rulers who have stolen the people’s freedom, their countries wealth and enforced laws that perpetuate their criminal activities .The Arab League is nothing more than a boys club for despot dictators from the Arab world who all
would be deposed if there were free elections in each of their countries.Assad and his murdering henchmen must be brought before the international court of justice on crimes of murder against his own people!

Assad must go now!

As the Libyan conflict seems to be coming  into the final stages we are now beginning to
see more and more people braving bullets in Syria .It must be made clear to the leadership
of Syria that they will be brought before the international court of justice for
the murder of their own citizens :Assad  must go now!

Western intelligence openly active in supporting and directing “rebel” forces in Libya.

By: Patrick_Henningsen

Western   intelligence openly active in supporting and directing “rebel” forces in   Libya.

Clearly, Assad is unlikely to resign from power, which creates the ideal   media conflict between him and his western detractors.

Predictably, and once again, in this situation President   Barack Obama‘s calls for sanctions against Syria and for its leader   President Assad to “step down” from power are all part of a PR and diplomatic   process designed to soften the ground for an impending NATO, or “coalition”   group military intervention in Syria.

No one can deny the strategic importance of Syria on the grand chessboard.   It’s bordering neighbors include no less than Israel, Turkey, Lebanon and most   importantly now, Iraq. It is also a natural political ally of Iran and   aligned firmly with the region’s last remaining independent militia, Hezbollah.   To bring Syria under the globalist umbrella would be a key jewel on the   globalist crown in their effort to control the entire Middle East and Central   Asian region. In addition, Syria is one the region’s most economically   independent sovereign states and possesses an incredible basket of natural   resources. For all these reasons, Syria is a very high priority for globalist   economic privatisation and dismantling of the state that is currently in   place.

Israel’s stake in Syrian regime change is first and foremost- land. The Golan   Heights, as well as its formerly occupied prize in the form of South Lebanon   will be firmly within Israel’s grasp if the country should eventually come under   US and European globalist control.

Unlike Saddam Hussein in Iraq, or Gaddafi in Libya, President Assad’s   confidence in Syria’s ability to overcome the current western-backed coup is not   misplaced optimism. Unlike other soft targets in the surrounding region, Syria   maintains one of the largest, most loyal, and well-trained standing armies and   air force operations in the region. They have state-of-the-art anti-aircraft   defense systems in place, and a very sophisticated and well-oiled intelligence   network, one which has given its near neighbor and traditional adversary,   Israel, a very difficult time penetrating over the decades.
