Is the global economic downturn going to accelerate as we roll into the second half of this year? There is turmoil in the Middle East, we are seeing things happen in the bond markets that we have not seen happen in more than 30 years, and much of Europe has already plunged into a full-blown economic depression. Sadly, most Americans will never understand what is happening until financial disaster strikes them personally. As long as they can go to work during the day and eat frozen pizza and watch reality television at night, most of them will consider everything to be just fine.
Unfortunately, the truth is that everything is not fine. The world is becoming increasingly unstable, we are living in the terminal phase of the greatest debt bubble in the history of the planet and the global financial system is even more vulnerable than it was back in 2008. Unfortunately, most people seem to only have a 48 hour attention span at best these days. They don’t have the patience to watch long-term trends develop. And the coming economic collapse is not going to happen all at once. Rather, it is like watching a very, very slow-motion train wreck happen.
The coming economic nightmare is going to unfold over a number of years. Yes, there will be moments of great panic, but mostly it will be a steady decline into economic oblivion. And there are a lot of indications that the second half of this year is not going to be as good as the first half was.
The following are 19 reasons to be deeply concerned about the global economy as we head into the second half of 2013…
#1 The velocity of money in the United States has plunged to an all-time low. It is extremely difficult to have an “economic recovery” if banks are not lending money and people are not spending it…

More than 11,000 refugees fled Syria on Friday, in what is thought to be the highest daily exodus since the insurrection began 19 months ago.
At least 9,000 of those fleeing the unrelenting violence in Syria headed for Turkey and Jordan, who are both warning that refugee numbers could soon overwhelm them.
The first large winter storm of the season made the journey miserable for the new arrivals in Turkey. Torrential rain along much of the eastern Mediterranean coast is not forecast to let up throughout the weekend, after which temperatures are expected to sharply chill.
The onset of winter poses a new and dangerous dimension to the looming humanitarian crisis on Syria’s borders. Many of the 400,000……………………………………

Since reassuming his post as Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin has lost no minute in addressing the most urgent geopolitical threats to Russia internationally. Not surprisingly, at the center of his agenda is the explosive situation in the Middle East, above all Syria. Here Putin is engaging every imaginable means of preventing a further deterioration of the situation into what easily could become another “world war by miscalculation.” His activities in recent weeks involve active personal diplomacy with Syria’s government as well as the so-called opposition “Syrian National Council.” It involves intense diplomacy with Erdogan’s Turkey regime. It involves closed door diplomacy with Obama. It involves direct diplomacy with Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu
Syria itself, contrary to what most western media portray, is a long-standing multi-ethnic and religiously tolerant secular state with an Alawite Muslim President Bashar Al-Assad, married to a Sunni wife. The Alawite sect is an offshoot of Shia Islam which doesn’t force their women to wear head scarves and are liberal by Sunni standards, especially in the fundamentalist places like Saudi Arabia where women are forbidden to even hold a driver’s license. The overall Syrian population is a diverse mix of Alawites, Druze and Kurds, Sunnis, and Armenian Orthodox Christians. Were the minority regime of Al-Assad to fall, experts estimate that, like in Egypt, the murky Sunni (as in Saudi Arabia) Muslim Brotherhood organization would emerge as the dominant organized political force, something certainly not welcome in Tel Aviv and certainly not in either Russia or China.

As we in the west are about to celebrate Christmas the people of Syria are facing another Christmas at the hands of murderers .Children are been shot dead and people are been rounded up just because they aspire to have the same basic freedoms we take for granted . I have called our political leaders leaches, gangsters and traitors and I can expect to go about my daily life without fear of been murdered, but in Syria that is another thing. Please support the people of Syria in their heroic effort in obtaining their democratic freedom. The people of the world are watching you and support you in your struggle against the repressive regime in Damascus.
I call on the Government of Ireland to be the the first to openly send support to the free Syrian Army .

Leader of the
Labour Party, Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs & Trade.
Dear Mr. Gilmore,
You are no doubt aware of the serious murderous situation in Syria where ordinary people are faced each and every day with the prospect of been murdered by their own
security forces who have now reached the debts of outright slaughter of any opposition
to the current regime .As a person who has spent a lifetime in and out of
opposition surely you must feel for the rightful aspirations of the people of Syria
to engage in free parliamentary activity and there right to democracy .I call
on you now to demonstrate to the world the absolute rejection of the brutal and
murderous activities for the current Government of Syria .

the world that we the people of Ireland do not support the current Syrian Government
and further more you must immediately call on the United Nation to take
whatever action is necessary to protect the innocent people of Syria from these
Monsters and to demand that the current leadership of Syria will be brought to
the international court of justice on crimes of murder and human rights abuse.
You are in a position to make your voice heard and you can justly clam to be to voice of the
Irish people in the corridors of power where this murder of the innocence can be stopped.

There is something very wrong with the leadership of the Arab League, How can they even consider the possibility of keeping the current murderous Assad and his henchmen in power? The Arab League is becoming irrelevant in the mass public movement now gathering pace in the Middle East. The ordinary peoples of this region are now becoming aware of their civil liberties and their Human rights and they do not need these rights to be dispensed to them by unelected rulers who have stolen the people’s freedom, their countries wealth and enforced laws that perpetuate their criminal activities .The Arab League is nothing more than a boys club for despot dictators from the Arab world who all
would be deposed if there were free elections in each of their countries.Assad and his murdering henchmen must be brought before the international court of justice on crimes of murder against his own people!
