Essential services and civil servants’ jobs are on the block!

Tánaiste Mary Coughlan has insisted that the Government will not be walking away from the Croke Park deal
There has been increasing speculation that the agreement on public sector pensions and reform could be under threat, given the deepening crisis in the public finances.
But IMPACT, the union representing public sector workers, said it met with Finance Minister Brian Lenihan earlier this week and received assurances that the Government was still committed to the plan.
Tánaiste Mary Coughlan today reiterated the Government is still willing to live up to its end of the agreement:
“We are very much committed to the deal and we feel that it is the most appropriate way in which we can bring transformation in the public sector,” she said.

Comment:
I wouldn’t bet on the government sticking to their word I will bet that they are just biding their time, one look at the graph below tells you that they have no choice in the matter.

The only doctors that are getting work are the government’s spin doctors.
Quietly all over the country beds and services are been closed and been removed, I found this report (Behind the Croke Park dealPDF) on such closures earlier this year and things have only gotten worse!
Bottom line the government has run out of money because of the financial lunacy of bailing out bankrupt banks and the gambling subordinate bond holders of Anglo Irish Bank
Essential services and civil servants’ jobs are on the block!

Musical chairs as the country disintegrates

Just when you things couldn’t get any worse at the passport office we now here that a local man from Wicklow town had to take action and chain himself to the internal doors of the office in order to get his passport.

Fair play to him if he had let me know he was going to do that I would have helped him

Now over the wires I here that the Staff in the passport office are now calling for an outright strike

Senior sources on the Government side have confirmed the Civil and Public Service Union, which represents Passport Office staff has served protective strike notice, which could be effective within seven days.

No one from the union has yet confirmed whether the notice had been served or precisely when it might take effect.

However, other sources said the serving of protective strike notice did not necessarily mean that there would be a strike.

This country is falling apart and all the Government is interested in is their own plum jobs around the Cabinet table

I would gladly take a job in the passport office to help get people their passports and I would do the job for nothing.

Still the same incompetence!

We see again that incompetence is ignored at the very top of Irish Politics

Cowen is rewarding his buddies and to hell with the rest of the people!

By surrounding himself with this clapped out and worn out bunch

We the people are going to be at the receiving end of yet more pain.

The Greens have now all but thrown in the towel and have being totally consumed in their self interest in big jobs and pensions for themselves

It is so sickening to see their blatant scramble over the crumbs from the Fiannia Fail Table

Talk about a bunch of wasters and sell outs

It’s just sickening!

When will the people rise up and get these leaches off our backs?

Does she really care about me?

Betrayal of the People

The NAMA disaster is on its way!

To-day we the people of Ireland were forced to take the first steps to financial enslavement to international Bond holders

On this day I wanted to show you the citizens of Ireland the chief political culprits

There are many more people responsible for this fiasco these people will also be put up here in the next few days

These people must be brought to justice!
