The Pope accepts Irish bishop’s resignation
Bishop John Magee stepped aside in March 2009 after an independent report found his Cloyne Diocese had put children at risk of harm.
“I take full responsibility for the criticism of our management of issues in that report,” he said on Wednesday
Bishop Magee was found to have mishandled allegations of clerical sex abuse in his County Cork diocese.
This is hopefully the first of a long list of Bishop’s that must take full responsibility
but none of these resignations will be of any use if Cardinal Brady stays in office he must resign if the Church in Ireland is to have any future!
