Last Night a group of about 50 citizens held a short demonstration outside Greystones Garda station against the politically motivated arrest of water demonstrators (amongst them children) that have taken place in Dublin: The citizens view it that this action is an outrageous abuse of the power vested in the Gardaí and is in direct violation of the constitutional rights of citizens to assemble peacefully and show their dissatisfaction with the corrupt government of the day! Later a committee member handed in to the Garda a letter of complaint .This action was witnessed by the assembled citizens. This is a direct attack on our democracy and we must not allow this incident to go unchallenged! I extend my thanks to all who showed up tonight even though you only got about 60 minutes notice! Fair play to all again!
